Athletic Weight Training – Forward Step Row to Rear Rotating Overhead Press
I love two things, rowing and pressing. Combine the two for an athletic twist #SpineStrong #IntrinsicStrength
This exercise is challenging, especially on my non dominant side.
Step 1. Take a forward step lunge while simultaneously reaching the weight towards the ground. Decelerate the body.
(Angelo’s Advice) Focus on controlling and slowing down the body with your stance leg and maintaining a strong posture.
Step 2 – Press the foot of the stance leg into the ground to propel the body up and back into a rear rotational lunge while simultaneously pulling the weight into an overhead press. Accelerate the body.
(Angelo’s Advice) Focus on loading the hip of the stepping leg to to rotate the entire body through the rotating press while maintaining a strong posture
